Why We Roast Small Batch

We roast in small batches because that’s how good work begins and how it continues. Every batch that goes through our roaster gets our full attention, because the coffee deserves it. So do the farmers who chose a harder path to make something truly special.

Small-batch roasting allows us to study each roast curve, taste every batch, hand-package every bag, and know exactly who it’s going to. That care and intention are how we create coffee worth standing behind and coffee you can feel proud to bring home for communication and connection.

What We Are All About

At Goldenrod Coffee Roasters, we take a thoughtful approach to roasting and let the coffee speak for itself. We focus on small-batch coffees and the good people we meet along the way, valuing relationships just as much as quality.

Before coffee is delivered to your door, there’s a whole process to ensuring you get the best from us. We listen to the coffee, learning where it comes from, understanding its character, and roasting it in a way that brings out what tastes best. We don’t follow trends or roast levels. We focus on what the coffee wants to be. Our goal is that first sip moment when someone pauses and says, “Wow, I’ve never had anything like this.”

From how we source to how we roast and show up for our customers and partners, we care a lot about doing things the right way. We invite you to explore our coffees, each with its own story, and get to know who we are along the way.

Rules We Live By

  • Never meet a stranger: we don’t believe in strangers, just folks we haven’t shared a cup with yet.
  • Sourcing: We only source 85 points or higher. This ensures from the get go we are only working with quality.
  • Roasting: Consistency is key. We want everyone to experience how truly great coffee can taste. Only way to do that is roast consistently and show up consistently.
